building from sourcefiles fails..

hi all,

after 2 days of trying, i'm desperate help.. i'm trying build executable xwisp2 source posted here (the link source files on bottom.). xwisp2 program communicate pic programmer (wisp628) via serial port , upload data microcontroller or other stuff. says mac users have compile source.
first thing tried "make -f xwisp2_gu.mak" in terminal. gave following errors:

xwisp2_gu.mak:14: *** missing separator.  stop.

and

code:

xwisp2_gu.mak:14: xwisp2.ver: no such file or directory

after digging in code (falsely?) concluded xwisp2.ver missing , added file named xwisp2.ver containing:

code:

vmajor = 2  vminor = 0  vsuffix = 0

and changed line 14 in xwisp2_gu.mak into:

code:

include xwisp2.ver

instead of

code:

!include xwisp2.ver

so far good. got rid of errors in make file, real trouble started. header file "share.h" missing. i'm not sure if file used in os x, or never was, or should be, because i've been working os x short period now. appears share.h header has sopen function (check here). sopen function used in xwisp2os.c. found version of share.h downloading open watcom. found out header files in open watcom different ones in os x (in usr/include).
, got lost. have clue how add share.h files in such way accepted. have tried replacing header files open watcom headers didn't work..
have experience share.h or knows how compile project?
