Itunes won't recognize Iphone

i accidentaly moved file somewhere in private/var directory. using cyberduck , open ssh when accidentaly hit mouse. itunes not recognize contents of iphone , says need restore phone.
have jailbroken iphone 4 running version 4.2.6
wanting restore phone , maintain 4.2.6 instead of updating newest ios version.
cydia has shsh: ios 4.2.6 @ top of screen , searched tiny umbrella , ifaith in cydia, can not find them.
there way can restore , maintain 4.2.6 version.
