downgrade to SL from Lion using restore usb key

hi, got 2011 machine lion.
not ready lion because apps may not work.

using 2010 mba right came white usb recovery key.
trying load usb key... seem likes doesn't work...

ideas on how revert new mba 2011 2010 sl using recovery key???
 

snow won't have drivers new hardware. can't run it. out of curiosity, know why applications don't work anymore? old hooks or something?
