Heat of chassis 2011 MBP?

hi everyone. i've seen previous heat-related threads on forums, don't seem answer question i'm concerned about.

i've bought brand new mbp 2011, 17" model.

i've noticed gets hot handle doing basic work.
others have pointed out hottest areas left side , top near vent.

listening itunes screen off 45 minutes, , temperature of chassis according istat pro around 40 degrees celsius.

room temperature approximate 25 degrees celsius.

understand mbp can quite hot when under heavy load, , makes perfect sense aluminum unibody, surprised gets hot little load on system. issue, or normal operation?

also, know upper limits chassis can handle far temperature goes?

thanks.

the magsafe connector input, airport card, , exhaust in general going biggest heat generators under idle operations encounter.

have seen internal temperature reports hit 100 c. if concerned ambient air, maximum suggested operating temperature paltry 35 c.
