new mails not showing up

just set mail app in lion, worked fine few days i'm having problems. use gmail personal email , webmail work. had used web interfaces before, need offline access email. set mail both accounts. many work people use personal address, move work emails sent gmail inbox work inbox. worked fine first few days, work account seems check mail when start app. can send myself email work account, or move mail personal work account, , don't show up. when click "check mail" gives me little beep telling me there no new mail. gmail account not have problem, pulls emails fine @ time. must quit mail , restart new mails show in work inbox. when visit web interface show there fine. settings gmail , work accounts identical, , program set check new mail every 5 minutes. ideas on happened , how fix it? thanks!
 

update: ipod touch, has accessed both accounts several months now, not have problem getting new mails both accounts. seems in mail app on laptop, guess it's not problem server, it's mail issue.
