Looking to buy first mac mini

i have black carbon shell macbook running lion.

windows pc, used gaming, died last week. not upset since have been wanting mini while.

server version of lion do? able sync macbook it?

looking gaming steam. current maxed out specs on mini enough? amd gnu powerful enough valve games?

can put more 8gb of ram in it? thinking 32gb since other macs can handle it.

 

you don't need server version general use including gaming. server version more multi computer , multi user network small business. if want exchange information macbook long it's on same home network mini can that.

in opinion if you're serious gamer mini not right maxed out one. casual/occasional gaming it's fine. more , more games requiring 512mb of vram , higher end graphics cards. games run have play @ low medium settings unless quite simple or basic. games crysis 2 won't run.

officially apple states can support 8gb of ram. people on these forums have indicated can install as 16gb of ram. said normal use including gaming shouldn't need 16gb let alone 32gb. besides highly doubt mini can handle much.

if want mac serious and/or regular gaming need @ mid high end imacs. said selection of games on windows platform far out number on mac.
