13inch i5 128ssd or 13inch i7 256ssd for a designer

hi guys, me again. waited long time buy mac laptop , time has come. reserving hard earned $$$ mbp new air.

use adobe fireworks, photoshop , coding , watching movies, videos, trading. no 3d or video editing, if can play games, ones show in youtube ( think mw2 or ) better although not necessary.

existing windows pc pentium 4 xp , 1.5ghz of memory ram , 40gigs of ram. yes able squeeze lot of files limited space , still have plenty more. dont have big photoshop files size manageable.

i'm planning hook macbook air samsung monitor own.

1.) kind of cable need connect external monitor ? im planning buy external mouse , wireless keyboard. editing on external monitor cause problems ?

2.) im pretty satisfied 128 gb ssd , can save files or use usb drive concern of i5 or i7 processor. advantage of having 4mb l3 cache ( i7 ) 3mbl3 cache ( i5 ) ?

based on video, if user used i7 , not i5, there increased frame rate ? i7 make laptop hotter?

hope guys can me out =) im excited

i think if interested in gaming better off getting 15 inch mbp dedicated video card. macbook air designed ultra portability , has sacrifice performance. listening needs assuming don't need ultra portability might wrong of course. many videos , games totally shred through mba's battery life.

think mean 40gb hard drive

keyboard , mouse shouldn't problem hooking macbooks , editing.

display you'd use minidisplay dvi cable. though new macbook line has thunderbolt ports minidisplay cables still work since thunderbolt based on minidisplay

i'm not @ explaining l3 cache since i'm not sure if myself understand it. think is, it's cpu imbedded super ram. perform faster conventional ram. it's function similar since caters directly microprocessors can deal data requests faster. hope got right
