when using mouse, have click right-button + dragging select something. in trackpad preference, there option enable 1 finger "tap click" , "dragging". helps mimic "left-buttom"+"dragging" function of mouse. question is: how emulate "right button"+"dragging" function of mouse "tapping" rather "clicking" ? "tapping+dragging" easier "clicking+dargging" in trackpad. in addition, large distance of "clicking+dragging" needs more effort. if default trackpad preference setting can not it, there other apps make ? not long ago apple computer introduced first mac cd drive. previous operating systems on floppy discs, , suffer erasures magnets etc. great step apple , since cd/dvd drive has been great feature on mac's until recently. after cd drive standard feature in mac's usb introduced , great step forward. saw firewire 400, firewire 800, , gigabit ethernet. great things many pc computers lacked standard feature. buy add in cards support these options, until caught , included of these features standard feature. apple took away firewire 400 on models, ie: macbook. decided take cd/dvd drive out of new mac mini. newer technology means has compromised. thunderbolt, loose in return. app store, loose optical drive. quite possibly pc manufacturers doing may open box new apple computer , find there no discs, ( many pc manufacturers remain nameless). why need optical drive when have app store? can download new os machine , install internet. if, , if cant connect ...

so replaced hard drive in 2010 mbp13". toshiba 250gb out , toshiba 320gb in. did full backup using carbon copy cloner. works fine, boot time longer now: "chime" user login takes 67sec , around 40sec more until loaded. don't know how boot time before, wasn't long. yes, did select new hd startup drive in system preferences & restarted macbook (3 times already!) , repaired permissions around 3 times too. smart status fine well. indexed. there's thing: around 40sec boot (while still on apple logo screen), fans kick in loud , spin down usual 2000rpm desktop loads fully. did not happen before. what's that? btw, did full xbench before , now. better or same before , overall result better. new hard drive performs better according tests. also, drive performs in machine, no problems whatsoever. slow boot , fan noise during boot process. not sure more do. suggestions? on snow leopard 10.6.7 (and intend upgrade 1...

hi all, i've installed new hdd (momentus xt 500gb) in 2008 mbp. have old hdd in external enclosure, , backed time machine beforehand. how transfer stuff same before?
