I'm an (amateur) magazine designer. Help me improve.

hi everyone.

year ago signed our school magazine (ages 12-16) sole designer. after 4 issues had leave take classes after school, , have finished have been asked go magazine.

designer, of our magazine called "inspire" responsible of putting of plain text attractive design, deciding ordering or articles, , got design logo (as starting out).

please take couple minutes @ samples of magazines designed , tell me how can improve time round! ^^

this looks pretty high school paper. nice job! few bits of advice you:

1. guide reader visually. being said, on contents page, word contents nice , large, after reading there not pulling eye next thing. see have bold numbers, helps bit, why not make them larger font accentuate should reading next. have act if reader dumb , needs being guided through pages. can done color, size, etc.

2. thing kind of gets me on 3-4 pages, eye has no idea go. emphasized. words school news in middle, on other side of spread 2012..., , opposite vertical tutor... how tried different sizes , vertical type, , fighting each other on spread. emphasize feel important, bit less emphasis show me feel second, , on.

overall excellent job, "amateur." grow , learn more find more things improved, rest of life. job none-the-less!
