are Favorites, Devices, and Shared supposed to be gray?

in window panel, sidebar supposed entirely gray? if select "go" menu bar, these icons colored.

wrong on end or apple think desaturated icons good?
 

they think "emplasizes content." silly apple, dropbox folder in sidebar is content.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
