next, purpose of computer? while ibook g4 plenty simple email/music listening, dead architecture. apple has stopped supporting powerpc processors in new operating systems. latest you'd able run leopard. (snow leopard , lion intel only). in regard, macbook loads better. plus apps (like google chrome) intel-supported. if can find macbook same amount ibook g4, you're better off getting macbook

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
