i purchased mac mini server last july. i've had problems system going catatonic , stops responding. recourse power cycle system.
far have been unable find in logs provide indication may have triggered condition.
using second drive backup device time machine. mac mini server more go catatonic whenever time machine periodically full backup. @ least think doing sends data several days instead of small amount of data every hour.
periods of catatonia occur sometime between 1500 , 1830.
mac mini server headless , keep server admin and/or logged server using screen sharing.
i checked out. use 2011 mini server everyday system , never have thes eprobles. it's rock solid have runnings weeks on end.

i'm thinking of upgrading 2011 27" imac's ram stock 4gb 12gb. plan on installing , running windows 7 home premium (64-bit) through boot camp , parallels. what's max amount of ram can have installed in case? windows 7 recognize 12gb installed without problem? as long install 64-bit version of windows, can utilize of ram. 2011 imac can take 32gb (4x8gb) though 12gb should plenty.
