Can I use this cable to capture my old VHS tapes?

i found bunch of old vhs tapes , want upload them macbook or imac. can cable

used connecting vhs player 2009 macbook or 2010 imac? sure imovie capture movies if recognized connection through usb..... amazon reviews seem works fine, want make sure works fine mac....
 

i cant see cable working without 3rd party software. less $4 cant hurt try?

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
