i have dell inspiron lasted me 5 years , still good. im going college wanted new laptop , debating between getting dell xps 15 , hp pavilion dv6t, or macbook white. im going put photoshop on laptop , leaning more toward macbook because of long battery , thought have better quality , last me longer. after reading complaints crackings , battery expanding , how rubbery part pealing off im not sure want macbook anymore. how , how problem happen? dont want spend $1000 on crap wont last 5 years.
then spend $200 more , macbook pro. trust me it's worth it. in shoes year ago when bought macbook. great , all, plastic cracks, , bottom case started peeling away. so, when got new computer (my macbook got destroyed water damage), got macbook pro 13". it's better. trust me, won't disappointed. around , see how durable these beasts won't disappointed. best $200 increase i've ever spent in life. i've seen, last 5 years.

i'm thinking of upgrading 2011 27" imac's ram stock 4gb 12gb. plan on installing , running windows 7 home premium (64-bit) through boot camp , parallels. what's max amount of ram can have installed in case? windows 7 recognize 12gb installed without problem? as long install 64-bit version of windows, can utilize of ram. 2011 imac can take 32gb (4x8gb) though 12gb should plenty.
