New Mac Mini for photo-editing..?

i need little here on decision buy new mac mini or not. lot of photo editing - professionally - , have been using macbook pro on external monitor retouching , grading...

recently, i've become tired of carrying mbp me office every day - , thinking of getting secondary computer, , leave there. imac no me b/c of glossy screen; mac pro pricy , overkill needs. dont want buy mbp; leaves me mac mini. sounds ideal, i've never used 1 before, , have no frame of reference it. know new ones have benchmarked well. mac mini enough photo work?? thinking of getting "cheaper" version , maxing out on ram 8 gb. figure gfx-card in bigger model usefull 3d-gaming , stuff, , wont make difference in photoshop-work?

appreciated...

i think quad core technically better choice photoshop work if use lot of complicated plugins or lot of stitching or hdr stuff, etc. in similar situation , feel same re: available mac desktop choices , have trouble buying 2ghz quad core intel hd3000 graphics. concept of discrete graphics in dual-core version i'm buying dual core computer...

there psychological aspects still. apple made either mac mini pro (with gpu , cpu options match can buy in mbps) or mac pro mini (full-featured desktop pci-e graphics in smaller form factor, not need dual cpu, , little cheaper since mac pros pretty expensive are).

i'd suggest getting ssd though, since fast i/o lot too.
