iMac 2007 blank blue screen - Logic board?

i looking @ friend's imac 2007, strange problem.

when friend browsing internet, imac went off , start blue screen. , optical drive won't take in disc, can push disc in acts if drive dead.

no option keys or reset keys made difference @ all. neither single mode well.

opened harddrive backed up. did disk repair via other mac. however, did booted login screen (safemode?) when entered password, goes blue screen came login again.

not sure make of it. have tried using spare hdd, didn't detect drive , spare laptop drive, tray not open upon starting. logic board failure? imac starting login screen?

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
