Iconsupport what is that rubbish for?

hey guys since when 3gs have had infinifolders , have had disable icon support, on earth for? still doesnt work, if don disable via sbsettings dont see folders if useless might rid of it.
 

iconsupport enables springboard put icons in places apple doesn't allow default. importantly, disables itunes app arrangement feature, because itunes crash or freeze if there out of place icons. best leave enabled , not alter it.
