Do I need more RAM? (Activity Monitor Details Attached)

i find mac gets bit of lag or beachballs time time. happened again. increasing 4 8gb of ram solve based on activity monitor snapshot?

attached files:

8gb of ram help, may not necessary (though relatively cheap , useful upgrade). inactive ram equatable free ram, memory management algorithms within os x prevent freeing memory inactive ram (thinking may using quit programs again or something).

try opening terminal, typing "purge", , pressing enter. attempt release inactive ram , make free. system freeze momentarily while , go normal after few secs. check out activity monitor after see if more free ram.
