(Freshman CS Student)Should I buy MBP now?

i'm heading college in september cs degree. i'm wondering if need laptop (well, mbp matter) now. based on macrumors buyer's guide, mbps refresh around 8-10 months average approximately around october december. (2 - 4 months since college starts)

question is, how freshman cs student? need carry laptop during months inside class? having programming projects need laptop? group projects?

have pretty desktop runs windows , linux , got ipad 2 gf gift.

i'm thinking 2 - 4 months of college lectures? right this? since have ipad 2, can pretty use purposes until new refresh comes out.

i'm willing buy 2-4 months of wait not bad ayt? heard refresh new case design :rolleyes: ,faster sure , etc worth wait.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
