Intermittent flickering - 2011 mini

i've had mini since launch. on 2 occasions, after reboot, i've noticed flickering every few seconds on bottom 1/4 of screen. second episode seemed have bright pixels showed randomly in top 3/4 of screen. checked connections while mac on - i'm using included hdmi dvi connector. monitor same 1 i've use macbook years. both times fixed restart. not sure means or if else has had happen. if occurring more regularly, use display port dvi connector bought mistake , try see if made difference...

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
