"Battery not available"

alright mac shut down no reason, opened few minutes afterwards noticed charge logo on top right has x on it, said "battery not available". tried solutions no use. , no i'm not able open battery , reseating it. also, before happened, using mac , doing nothing unusual might have set off. it's making loud hovering noise.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
