Ipod touch turns on when connected to computer

okay, going try jailbreaking ipod touch 3g 4.2.1 when im told turn off ipod touch , keep connected turn off, turns on. , cant jailbreak on im told.
 

are sure connected because if detach , reattach ipod, turn on. try usb port and/or cable see if connection poor , ipod thinks has been reconnected.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
