Mac Pro - upgrade or get an iMac

running mac pro 2 x 2.66 dual-core intel xeon 4 gb memory.

have had time , it's feeling little sluggish / nosiy @ times , old worry breaking (valid?)

can't afford upgrade new mac pro , have been considering swapping imac or wondering if it's upgrade existing machine more memory , clean install once new os comes out.

main applications illustrator & photoshop use 10 hours per day.
 

i try increasing memory first. before people reinstall os ask kind of maintenance they're doing , how full hard drive is. run xeon 2.8 octo-core , feels quiet zippy. have ssd boot , application drive , 16 gigs of ram. no doubt there faster machines out there, has not yet felt sluggish until filled ssd much.

while deciding, maintenance , buy ram. if anything, increase resale value if goal. imac nice me, glossy screen killing it.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
