Spotlight in Lion - Only Displays Web Searches, no real results?

heya,

have lion dp3 installed, , spotlight seems acting up.

basically, won't show results except web searches.

exception this, weird reason usb key i've inserted it's decided index - i.e. find files there.

however, won't show of applications or documents main system drive. i've checked spotlight preferences, of categories ticked, , privacy doesn't have drives/folders excluded.

i've tried suggestion 2 , 4 here:

sudo mdutil -e /  password:  /:  	no index.

doesn't seem show indexing in spotlight menu, nor results appear after waiting.

i've tried downloading mainmenu, , using "rebuild spotlight indexes" , "clear user caches", "clear system caches" , "clear font caches", no effect.

has else encountered issue? other way fix it?

spotlight awesome, miss it...lol.

i think there 1 thing haven't tried.

add volumes won't index privacy list disable searching on volumes in spotlight preferences.

remove .spotlight-v100 folder in root of each volume disabled spotlight on.

restart system.

if volumes still marked not searched in spotlight preferences, remove them privacy list.

has cleared spotlight issues in past.
