mac mini vs imac with AppleTV

hi all,

have 2006 imac runs eyetv (utilising netstream) record live television , streams appletv(1st gen) (and xbmc).

couple of issues current setup is awkward live pause, , takes while recorded show become available on itunes. other works pretty well.

have been intending upgrade add mac mini (2011) attached directly tv , take on eyetv recording machine. fix 2 issues , provide support other digital streams such iview etc.

have been wondering whether should replace imac 2011 version , apple tv2 , use airplay facilities provide live pause, , hope other digital streams covered other hacks or airplay in future.

thoughts?

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
