MBA and MBP

so have mbp , looking mba when new 1 comes out whenever maybe in no rush.

doing research degree , have found mbp bit heavy carrying around , don't need power anyway.

had toyed idea of selling , putting money towards air first mac , kinda have got attached , don't want sell it:)

planning on keeping hooked external display have , using desktop.

question how guys have 2 macs, imac , notebook, use them. how can best use of out 2 macs? - way use both , how can keep them sync'd

for general file sharing/syncing: mobileme/icloud or dropbox...
music: external hard drive (networked or not), itunes cloud...
documents: see general suggestions, or possibly google docs

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
