thought ask opinion based on mac should when go university.
had been thinking getting 1 of new 13" airs when come out ultraportable nature of power sounded needed. however, having read other people have been posting have doubts.
11" air sounds being tiny , base model cheap great making notes during lectures but, in honesty, find 13" screen i'm using bit small 11" wouldn't great long term use.
saw suggestion elsewhere might option buy imac , mba 11" , use both of them , still them decent price.
wondering how viable thought , whether or not work better ipad/imac combo, ipad/mac mini or old mac pro/ipad. concern whether or not ipad easy , quick type on. also, cost of screen , peripherals have taken account.
budget around £1,500 mark give or take hundred pounds , bear in mind student 15% off price of macs in apple store.
of time spent doing basic tasks video editing in imovie , indulge in bit of football manager.
advice fantastic

p.s. how long post? how long piece of string?
personally love 11" macbook air. screen resolution high enough don't miss 13" macbook or 15" powerbook. having 2 machines 1 of better options right now, means have powerful system stuff done , game, , lightweight system take notes on , have @ times. (i mean me have mac pro (and imac before it) edit video, , macbook air actual computer science lectures , getting work done in library).
*as far old mac pro vs current imac, imac hands down, more powerful mac pro cheaply enough let have macbook air within budget. id take macbook air on ipad, having both, macbook air infinitely more useful lecture notes etc.
