Bootcamp and Parallel Partition

i'm have no experience ever in bootcamp or parallel systems. thinking, if make partition windows 7 intention of installing several games, software etc. run on windows. have make partition bigger, make way softwares install? or can windows access hard drive whole? see lot of videos , articles stating suggest 30gb worth of partition windows 7. :confused:
 

depending on system, os , apps want run 30 gb can small.

can read of contents of disc, can't write without third-party software.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
