External HD error -50

hi i've upgraded snow leopard , cant copy external drive anymore. error -50. know means , have on this? see people having similar problems externals after upgrading sl or lion. going on?!
 

have checked finder > select external hdd >> info >>> format and sharing & permissions yet?

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
