Force iPhone 4 (CDMA Verizon) onto roaming

i'm looking force verizon iphone roaming onto cellular switches between 5 bars of cellular 2g , 0 bars of verizon 3g doesn't work. need cell signal strong phone calls , texts , can use wifi data. i'm on vacation in wisconsin , switching not killing battery phone calls impossible make @ moment , texts barely scoot , forth. yes o updated prl settings twice , turned data roaming on , off. suggestions?
 

i dont think can force stay roaming.
first default stay on vz network if 1 bar , on partner network.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
