Resolved Fixing WordPress page URL after server transfer

hope might able me here...wordpress forums have not helped. did transfer of wordpress site 1 server another. here's did:

1) login wp-admin of dev server , update site address under settings new domain address - make site break , no longer available...

2) export dev wordpress mysql database using control panel/phpmyadmin local .sql file

3) import database using .sql file new server via phpmyadmin or database administration panel

4) transfer wp files dev new server, updating wp-config file new database settings


working great, problem i've run page urls still old , have not updated new main url. in wp-admin area still shows old url site address. (same in phpmyadmin.) however, if attempt change urls in phpmyadmin, locks me out of wp-admin area.

it sounds old url's still stored in database. don't know if did or not, wordpress has great instructions on how move new server. might late follow them.

if don't want manually change url's, recommend velvet blues update url's plugin. has worked great me. install , configure old url , new url, , change of old url's in database.
