Which MBP do I have and new/replacement OS free?!

hey guys, know there have been several threads on type of thing already, haven't found situation.

did serial number , came 2 macbook pro models, here's link:

can't go "about mac" because wiped hard drive , lost os cd
s can't reinstall (the screen flashes folder question mark"). so, 2 questions, how tell mbp have link above? took out hard drive , it's 100gb, i'm assuming second 1 (model ma601ll) how make sure? need new inverter , want right inverter. also, since lost os cd, there way can replacement apple free (i doubt it, know if can)? tiger, leopard or snow leopard, don't care. preferably snow leopard because that's had on it, need new os regardless, don't care apple gives me (if give me anything) lol.
 

apple replace restore dvd whatever machine shipped minimal cost (but not free)
