Interference noise with new Mac Mini & KVM (ground loop?)

last week bought new 2011 mac mini (base model), , 1 of these dvi kvms w/ audio

switch between mac , pc.

unfortunately, i'm getting hum , crackling noise on audio on mini, , volume seems bit low.
doesn't happen when connecting directly mini, when going
through kvm. pc's audio sounds fine through kvm, macbook pro & iphone when try them on same port. i
did bit of googling , sounds have what's called ground
loop? both machines running same surge protector on same outlet, sounds 1 step in eliminating these problems.

see there's called ground loop isolator may able filter out noise, may adversely impact audio quality. seems band-aid fix , i'd rather root of problem.

ideas? in advance.

btw, not shown in picture headphones have connected kvm.

i ended sending syba kvm amazon, blame. oops. hooked belkin flip dvi kvm bought , having same issue. apparently issue mini.

using 2011 mac mini kvm switches audio? having issue (slight hiss & hum)?

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
