Macbook Pro OS X install with no CD drive

my best friend bought new laptop today , gave me old macbook pro try , fix, if possible. figured better idea giving best buy dispose of. problem i'm having macbook is, trying rid of boot camp, , forced him system restore, installation discs needed. have both discs, though don't remember how got far needing disc 2 restore, because cd drive busted. hoping there way use either windows 7 laptop, or external hard drive how install os (currently says "please insert mac os x disc to continue installation"). key thing is, can't passed screen in order use disk utility keeps telling me.


in all, there way install os (disc 2 of os x) using win 7 laptop, or external hard drive?
 

you have create image of 2nd disk onto external hard drive plug in + install through there. however, still need mac this.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
