Need help accessing iTunes library

i installed ssd drive optical drive in imac, , want have itunes on ssd access/store original hd in imac. told me hold alt click itunes, go itunes folder in old hd, not let me access it. keep getting message:

itunes library file locked, on locked disk, or not have write permission file.

changed permission of file read & write, still cant access it. want itunes , iphoto apps, since have lot of gbs of stuff. know doing wrong?
 

i had exact same problem on new imac. trick change permission of music folder itunes library located read & write did. click gear icon in bottom left of info window. choose "apply enclosed items."

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
