Are there any benefits to pairing an Iphone 4 to a PC via BT?

my iphone not jail broken , not have tethering contract at&t. there benefits establishing bt connection , pairing iphone 4 laptop? can't think of offhand.

thought maybe work internet overseas when don't have wifi have ethernet connection. realized setting ad hoc network connection , using wifi.

haven't found benefits pairing far. appreciate comments or experiences this.

if going carry laptop, makes sense carry apple usb cable. weights absolutely nothing carry can

a) charge iphone
b) backup iphone laptop
c) transfer files
d) usb tethering (faster , less battery use vs wifi)

etc etc

people "wireless" these days, wired solutions still better things

example using aux cable connect phone car stereo vs using fm transmitter ( quality night , day)
