Problems with Seagate Momentus drive

i purchased seagate momentus 500g 7200 drive model number st9500420asg upgarade macbook pro. since installing drive experiencing freezing spinning wheel often.

did research using google , can see many complaints problem in 2009 , 2010. there talk in forums @ time possible firmware release. however, unable find evidence of firmware upgrade except 1 released dell , suspected slow down drive.

has updated information on problem. surprised drive purchased 2 weeks ago has history of issues going 2009.

frequent freezing , beach balls indicated bad drive, doubt firmware @ fault here, place bet on lemon.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
