i noticed updates ask power source plugged in? if battery charged why necessary , can upadate done without plugging in.
 

yes, of time update can done without power source.

it's precaution. if there's system-critical update rewriting operating system, , battery dies....then hard drive screwed.

updates should fine, ignore if it's stupid itunes update.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
