Multiple iTunes, One External Hard drive

i've done search , can't find solution im looking for, forgive me if has been discussed. have 2tb external hard drive attached airport extreme base station houses media. have mbp , imac. want external hard drive host media itunes on both macs. possible? if add music mbp show on imac? in advance!:apple:

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
