Best budget camcorder for macbook pro setup?

i might looking mbp serious (yet recreational) video editing, little unsure of buy camcorder. on budget of around $400 , open guys have in mind.

also... haven't ever had chance make/edit videos osx, pcs, mbp right choice? if so, guys know worthy buy this? looking buy notebook , camcorder around same time frame. thanks!

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
