Problem with magsafe, stops charging when I move the MBP

hi everyone,
i've had mbp approximately 5 months , absolutely love it, , working fine until yesterday when magsafe adapter stopped working, disconnected outlet , connected again, , after approximately 10 minutes started working again, connector gets extremely hot when charging.
took mbp , magsafe genius bar today, , tested , worked ok, ran diagnosis tool battery , charger , said fine too, returned home, connected again , started charging until moved few inches mbp (i didn't touch cable or disconnected it) , stopped working again. think has sort of bad contact problem, i'm afraid if take geniusbar again they'll it's working , wouldn't want change it. has of had similar problem?

tell them have overheating , think it's loose connection. have applecare? if so, think should replace free. if not, tell them you're worried burns , doesn't work when use , them swap new one.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
