Video editing freeware?

hello, first post , i've searched 2 hours on forum see if had asked i'm to. answer came out negative, if repeated, i'm terribly sorry.

ok, in need of decent software edit videos. know imovie integrated on os dislike problem , need bit more options edit audio of video. timelines thing (l).

anyways, know final cut , premiere, i've used both, unfortunately, cannot afford of them. i'm looking freeware preferably or cheap, has timeline , basic options, easier interface imovie. i've looked around of them linux.

which imovie using? imovie11 has timeline, , has audio editing now.
