MBP 13" 2008 estimated price?

hey guys, newbie forum poster on here.

have opportunity purchase 2008 13" mb (the unibody macbook, think looks mbp of today)
2.4 c2d
4 gig ram
250 gig hd
geforce 9400m
(you idea).
has 10 months of applecare still left on it.

here question. worth 650$ (cnd)?

want laptop basic surf companion, , server ipad/atv2 (running, remote desktop, air video etc). ilife work (light video/music making)

i'm thinking getting instead of brand new 1 sole purpose there possible re-design coming next year, , hold me down until then, , re-sell same range.

question guys is, should (will laptop run need)? or should opt new base model 13" mbp retail.
