sound on my TV?

i have late 2007 imac , vizio tv, tv has hdmi , and vga port on back. while ago decided buy mini display port vga adapter use tv second screen. find myself wanting watch movies , cant stand audio still being on computer while movie playing. wondering need cable connects headphone jack , rca cables (the red , yellow tv cables) on tv next vga port? or different.the reason i'm asking found myself thinking if keep cables permanently connected sound play/ or not play through there when tv off. have choose in settings play through built in speakers , vise versa when wanting play movie. quandary sorry long rant. need know cable need.
 

most tv's had far offered hdmi , vga in offered tiny hole usully next plugging in audio comes fromt headphone jack of computer , on tv's had not marked

if got red , white rca headphone rca cable , quiet cheap 1 end black or green jack headphone (the color not matter there ) , on , on other end red , white rca no need yellow thats video

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
