Difference Between HPT Raid Cards?

they same card
none of these hardware raid. it's hardware assist (use host cpu resources , timing)

it's base on marvel 9128, think pretty weird design.

has 2 marvell 9128 chip set each output 1x lanes pci express go multiplex pci e bridge chipset , comes out 4x lanes

1st problem:
2 6gb sata ports tight 1x lanes pci e v2.0. 12gb/s capable go 5gb lanes!
2nd problem:
signal being mux @ pci e bridge create lots of latency

kind of design that? put v12 in compact car when rep darn car disintegrate.
