Just got a Dual Band Router. Is there a way for 5ghz & 2.4ghz to auto switch?

-

for example,

have both 5ghz , 2.4ghz ssid & passwords same.

when i'm in 5ghz range file transfer speed awesome. when go outside backyard 5ghz gets weak macbook auto switches 2.4ghz radio, here's problem.

when come inside mac never picks 5ghz radio again. stays on 2.4ghz mode.

ideas?
