New bootcamp and parallels install

i have decided give bootcamp , parallels shot on mbp see if can either rid of old pcs @ home , possibly use mbp work.

able run bootcamp launch in windows-only mode work, run parallels times when not working , running osx need run in windows without rebooting.

have 0 experience this. assume set bootcamp , install windows first. once that's running can install parallels , tell use partition?

lastly, suggestions how space allocate bootcamp partition? hd 500gb , don't store on it. of files on imac. run office programs , quickbooks in windows. ram allocation option within parallels? in can change on fly or fixed initial setup? upgrading 8gb.
 

yes setup boot camp , install windows, , can set parallels point boot camp partition. did 75gigs partition. sounds can away smaller partition. wouldn't go below 32gb.

yes, in parallels can adjust how ram allocated after fact. however, can adjust when virtual machine turned off. can't adjust while running.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
