Audio skipping over HDMI since 10.6.8 update

ever since update 10.6.8 today, audio sent sony tv via moshi hdmi adapter skips 3 times per minute. happens in both vlc , mplayer osx extended - , if redirect audio through imac speakers not skip.

imac mid 2010 model.
 

i having same issue after 10.6.8 update. playing video samsung tv mid 2010 27" imac on 10 metre hdmi cable connected display port via moshi adapter. recorded video played eyetv 3

audio pushed tv cuts out intermittently pushed speakers connected headphone port on imac works fine. video shows on tv no problem.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
