Buy zbrush for mac or windows?

i wanting purchase zbrush. concern issues mac release being behind windows release in history. issue solved yet? 1 platform run better other? suggestions appreciated!
 

i did bit of looking , appears complaints differences between windows , os x versions of zbrush date version 3. current version 4 , zbrush offers "cross platform" feature can purchase second platform half price. if tried os x version , found lacking, wouldn't surprised if let deactivate , windows version instead ask before buy either one.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
