Certain Preview Ability

when there mp3 on desktop in folder, remember able play without having open larger preview window.

has been removed in recent update (a shame, if so) or there possibly may have done/be doing wrong causing no longer function remembered?

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
